Introduction
Located at the far edge of Western Europe and cut off from the outside world for much of the 20th century, little Portugal gets no respect. People often tell me they’d like to visit ‘Spain and Portugal’, not realizing how big Spain is – and just how much Portugal has to offer. Portugal deserves a couple of weeks on its own.
